Variance applicants, Scott and Caroline Phillips, are enclosing their garage to create an additional bedroom. They are seeking a variance to allow this update to their residence.

Sidewalks
Councilor William continues to support efforts to increase the number of sidewalks in his district.
Councilor Williams is driving efforts to connect more sidewalks to the Clairmont Walking Trail.
This will be a long term project addressed in phases and is currently in the design phase where surveys are being done to determine how to implement new sidewalks.
Targeting late 2024, early 2025 to begin construction.
Short-term Rentals
New zoning regulations being considered to short term rentals, like AirBnbs.

Recently finished Summer school period with 5000 students enrolled.
School Registration
Many children do not register for school until the first day of school.
Register for Success is an effort led by the School Board to help encourage more registrations before the start of the school year.
