Dear New Neighbor,

On behalf of the Crestwood South Neighborhood Association, I want to welcome you to our neighborhood! New people can bring vitality and fresh ideas to an area and we are certain you and your family are no exception.

I’d also like to introduce myself and give you more information about the Crestwood South Neighborhood Association. My name is Camille Worthington and I serve as the CSNA President. The CSNA is a group of neighborhood residents working together to protect and enhance the quality of life in Crestwood South. It was formed in 1974 as a part of the Citizens Participation Plan Initiative, as adopted by the Birmingham City Council. Anyone who is a resident of the Crestwood South neighborhood is automatically a member of the CSNA.

The CSNA serves as the primary conduit for communicating specific issues, problems and opportunities to our city government. As a neighborhood, we are routinely consulted on matters related to zoning changes, economic development and city services. Neighborhoods are also granted discretionary funds from the city's budget to use for capital and non-capital projects, improvements and events.

Once a month, we meet to discuss various issues affecting the neighborhood. Our city council and school board representatives regularly attend the monthly meetings to relay information and provide an open line of communication about your concerns. Meetings are always on the fourth Monday of the month at 6:30 PM, unless that day falls on a holiday.

We also encourage you to join our neighborhood on NextDoor to keep up with neighborhood news. Feel free to use the link to the left to join. We’re also active on Facebook and would love for you to like our page - just search for Crestwood South Neighborhood.

Feel free to contact us at info@crestwoodsouth.com with questions or concerns you may have. We hope you will enjoy Crestwood South as much as we do. We look forward to meeting you!

Camille Worthington, CSNA President
