Reports
Bethany Fattore for the Ad Hoc Zoning Committee
Gave recap on previous neighborhood votes.
They went to the ZAC (Zoning Advisory Committee) meeting, which has a public hearing. They spoke on behalf of the neighborhood.
They recommended approval pending agreement upon the Q conditions between Redeemer and the CSNA and that it doesn’t move forward to Planning & Zoning until that is done.
Met with Randall Minor, representative for Redeemer, and Kim Speorl, of Planning & Zoning, on the queue conditions.
Sound and lighting cannot be a part of a Q condition.
She presented the list of Q conditions, which included
One Q condition proposed by the subcommittee, disallowing a school, was requested to be allowed by Redeemer, with a limit to 350 students, and drop off/pickup and vehicle queue would need to be approved by BDoT.
Percentage of property will remain green space.
Additional condition that if something is built other than a place of worship, such as if Redeemer sells the property, CSNA will be able to make recommendations, and we would get a 30-day notice for us to vote on it.
These restrictions remain with the parcel, regardless of the owner.
Subcommittee recommends approval with the updated Q conditions.
Randall Minor spoke on the church’s plan to keep green space and respect the existing topography.
Neighbor raised concern about cement trucks coming down neighborhood streets while building the apartment complex.
Please contact Councilor Williams’ office if that is an issue with church construction.
