Can send up to 3 delegates to Little Rock, AK
May 20-3, 2020
Must have signed doctor's approval to participate
$1500 per delegate (up to $4500 total)
Funding provided by CSNA non-capital project funds
CNSA currently has $15,690.24 available for non-capital projects
Motion to approve funding for two delegates by Fred Erben, seconded by Virginia Volker, passed by unanimous voice vote
Fred Erben raised issue of recently resurfaced road in the neighborhood that has been washed away in the recent rains

Recycling Pilot Program
Target launch date April 1, 2020
City will provide participating residents with 96-gallon refuse bins and 64-gallon recycle bins
Trash and recycling pickup service will occur once a week

1 burglary, down from 3 in last report
3 vehicle break-ins
2 car thefts
No robberies
Encouraged residents to call the east precinct non-emergency number (205-254-2685) with any concerns or to request extra patrols
Birmingham City Public Library, Vincent Solfronk, Manager of Eastwood Branch
The library will be providing information about the 2020 census
February is library fine forgiveness monthSeveral city libraries are hosting tax preparers to help
March 6th 6-9pm, The Dannon Project will be hosting Bards & Brews
Eastwood Library's lease is due for renewal and Mr. Solfronk is encouraging residents to reach out to the Library Board and the Mayor to voice support for the branch so that the location can continue to operate in its current location
Virginia Volker made a motion proposed writing a letter on behalf of the neighborhood in support for the branch, Renee Tucker seconded, passed by voice vote

New parking meters coming to downtown area with ability to use mobile pay while still allowing cash payments
Parking rates won't change but mobile payments will include a $0.45 convenience key

Promoted pilot program at Putnam Middle to install bins with school supplies available to students for free and will be soliciting donations in the near future
