  1. Read & Approve Previous Meeting Minutes - April 2022

    • April 2022 meeting minutes were read to meeting attendees.

      • Motion to approve minutes was made by Hana Berres and seconded by Elizabeth Murray.

        • Motion was approved by unanimous consent.

    • Officer Reports

      • Crestwood Blvd Clean Up prior to World Games

        • CSNA officers will send out information when a date has been chosen for a clean up day.

      • Transitioning to in-person meetings

        • ARC of Central Alabama will no longer be able to host our neighborhood meetings, so CSNA officers are exploring options for a new location for in person meetings.

      • CSNA Email list sign up form

        • If you’d like to receive emails about upcoming neighborhood meetings or other relevant information, fill out this form to be added to our email list.

      • Neighbor’s Night Out

        • Looking at potentially hosting Neighbor’s Night Out in August.

        • CSNA Officers are in the planning phase, if interested in being involved email info@crestwoodsouth.com.

      • Not present.

    • Public Works - Arthur Wilder

      • Mr. Wilder noted that the Clairmont Walking trail will be tended to soon.

      • Michael Casagrande noted an overgrown tree at the stoplight on 56th St S and Crestwood Blvd.

      • Vice President Murray noted concerns about another dropped limb from a tree on Overwood Cir and Clairmont Ave. The fallen limb has bent part of the handrail along the Clairmont Walking Trail.

      • Jill Prestridge noted a home with a shed, camper and inoperable vehicles in the yard of a home near 10th Ter S.

    • CAB - Elizabeth Murray

      • World Games organizers are looking for more volunteers.

      • Mayor Woodfin on Tuesday presented his 2023 fiscal year city budget proposal.

        • City Council will hold two public hearings on the budget: on June 6, at 5:30 p.m.; and June 16, at 5:30 p.m.

        • The budget can be viewed here.

      • Noted discussion around AirBnbs within the City.

        • Residents can send any feedback to Councilor Darrell O’Quinn darrell.oquinn@birminghamal.gov

        • Amy Ware asked if AirBnbs required any licensing to operate within the city.

          • India Bailey noted there are currently no laws applicable to AirBnb operators.

      • Hunter Williams, Councilor, District 2

        • Cresthill Road Traffic Calming

          • Devices have been ordered but due to supply issues there has been a delay in delivery and installation.

            • Tentative delivery is slated for end of June.

        • Annual Fishing Rodeo at East Lake Park

          • June 11 8AM-1PM

        • World Games Sculptures

          • World Games representatives have offered to install one of three sculptures permanently to the Clairmont Walking Trail after the World Games takes place at no cost to the neighborhood.

          • CSNA officers will discuss with the Clairmont Walking Trail committee and either bring to a vote at the next scheduled meeting or conduct a special called meeting if the decision needs to be made prior to the next scheduled meeting.

        • Amy Ware noted concerns about the approval of the Pickleball & Tennis court changes at Crestwood Park.

          • CSNA officers have formed a sub-committee that will be working on ways to better promote our monthly meetings, but in the meantime the website (CrestwoodSouth.com) and the email list are the best ways to stay up to date about neighborhood news.

        • Encouraged residents to submit their feedback or participate in the public hearings on the Mayor’s budget.

        • SeeClickFix App

          • SeeClickFix is a 311 request and work management app that the City has implemented.

          • Neighbors can download the app on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
