      • Avondale After School Clubs Showcase 

        • Avondale After School Clubs will be hosting a showcase in which some of the clubs will perform (drama, music, ballet) and others will be highlighted.

      • David Martorana requested a follow up on a previously submitted 311 request regarding the school crosswalk at the intersection of Art Hanes Blvd and Montclair Blvd.

    City Council Representatives

    • Hunter Williams, Councilor, District 2

      • Councilor Williams’ office will be transferring $2000.00 to the neighborhood’s fund. This allocation has been voted on and approved by the City Council.

        • With network outages with the City, there may be a delay on when this amount may be deposited in the neighborhood’s account.

      • Clairmont Walking Trail

        • Councilor Williams described upcoming improvements planned for the Clairmont Walking Trail.

        • These updates will improve the connection between Crestwood South and neighboring communities.

      • Traffic Calming Requests

        • Jennifer Knott asked about the application process for requesting traffic calming efforts.

        • Councilor Williams described the current process for how citizens can submit requests for traffic calming.

      • Pathways to Professional Nursing Program

        • Birmingham City Schools recently launched the new Pathways to Professional Nursing program in partnership with the UAB School of Nursing. 

        • Scholars in the program earn patient care technician certification that will enable them to enter the healthcare workforce after graduation or continue their education in the field.

        • Access to Pathways to Professional Nursing will expand to students at Ramsay, Wenonah, and Woodlawn next school year.
