City Council Representatives
Hunter Williams, Councilor, District 2 (Represented by India Bailey)
Council approved Safe Sleep program.
The goal is to provide safe sleeping alternatives for the city's chronically unhoused residents through the purchase of micro-shelters.
John Davis asked about updates on the Amphitheater funding on former Carraway site.
Ms. Bailey noted that the council will be voting in the near future.
Doug Yarborough noted a potential code enforcement issue in the 5800 block of Crestwood Boulevard.
Ms. Bailey reported that Councilor Williams’ office is aware of the code violation and is investigating.
President Worthington requested an update on the complaints regarding the Cresthill Road speed bumps.
Ms. Bailey reported they have relayed complaints to the Department of Transportation.

Reported that Neonta Williams has been elected as the new School Board president.
Birmingham City Council has approved $1 million dollars for mental health focused programming for Birmingham City Schools.
$7 million dollars from the City has been set aside for a pre-K center in the Roebuck area.
Mrs. Boehm will share a list of programs that the CSNA can potentially help fund through the neighborhood association’s account.
