Approve April 28, 2025 Agenda
Motion to approve the agenda for the April 28, 2025 neighborhood association meeting was made by Camille Worthington and seconded by Tim Lyons.
Motion was approved by unanimous consent.
Approve meeting minutes for March 24, 2025
Motion to approve minutes was made by Brandon Fattore and seconded by Renee Tucker.

Presentations
Jimmy Snow - requesting a setback variance for 1133 Del Rey Dr.
Requesting variance to create more space in home for growing family and to allow them to stay in their current home.
27-feet is the minimum distance between street and house. They are requesting a variance to go over that by 41-inches in the front of the house on and 6-inches on the side. Will not drastically change the look of the home.
Motion to approve of the variance request for 1133 Del Rey Dr. made by Terri Hamilton-Poore and seconded by Todd Snyder.

Update on Clairmont Trail cleanup day
10 people came out and cleaned trail for 2-hours. Collected about 5 bags of garbage.
Dead pine tree leaning towards house at one end of trail that has been submitted to city to be taken down.

Toby Richards, Director of Arlington House- May is historic preservation month; on May 10 will have a walking tour of College Hill. There will be more information on their website

Senate Bill 330- proposed changes to Birmingham Water Works Board
CAB members felt this was a takeover and that these are our problems to solve.
This Bill would reduce the influence we would have as citizens on our Water Works Board.
City Representatives
India Bailey present on behalf of councilor Hunter Williams, Councilor - District 2
BDOT solution for issue with people driving into residents yards on Cresthill Rd was to put up signs to prevent cars from being able to swerve around speed cushions.
Councilor Williams opposed to Senate Bill 330 and went to Montgomery to oppose it
Clairmont Walking Trail- working on finding funding and another group that can maintain the trail on a more regular basis
District 2 resurfacing list has come out for 2025 and are multiple roads in Crestwood South that are planned to be resurfaced this year
A neighbor asked about a potential roundabout being put in on 56th as you enter the neighborhood from Crestwood Blvd. No plans for this currently.

Valerie A. Abbott, Councilor - District 3
Discussed Senate Bill 330: Current BWWB are serious and genuine about fixing the problems that we have, including fixing old pipes; also working on getting automatic water meters (so do not have to have an individual go around and manually check meters each month). City Council are not in favor on this Bill
BDOT has agreed to contract out work for traffic calming projects in an attempt to help speed up that process
